It’s me again. Hello and Welcome to 2017!
I genuinely can’t think of anything to say about 2016 that hasn’t already been said by 100,000+ people.
Yes, it wasn’t the best worldwide. No, I’m not going to dwell on it.
In the past I’ve been quite sceptical about New Years resolutions. I think there’s a lot of pressure put on us to make unrealistic goals and then beat ourselves up when we don’t achieve them. In fact, I’ve made it my habit to adopt new goals throughout the year!
But, as I’m sure a lot of my readers will be looking to positively change their life over the next 12 months.
I’m gonna share a couple of my NEW Resolutions with you!
1) Cold Showers
Oh yeah, this is as unpleasant as it sounds. For a while now I have been finishing my scorching hot showers with a cold burst over my head- because I heard it makes your hair shinier.
Recently, I’ve been learning about the wider benefits and here are a few:
* Wakes you up in the Morning! (Increases Alertness)
** Improves Immunity & Circulation (I currently have a cold so love this one!)
*** Relieves Muscle Soreness & Speeds up Recovery (rowing…)
**** Eases Stress, Reduces likelihood of Depression & Alzheimers
2) No Poo (NOT WHAT YOU’RE THINKING😂)
I’m following the no hair products movement. So, No Shampoo. No Conditioner.
Benefits: *Healthier & Stronger Hair, **Gets rid of Chemicals, ***Reduces likelihood of Dandruff/Scalp Irritation, ****Saves Money/Water!
3) Daily Morning Yoga🙌
I’ve done this the last few years and really enjoy committing to 30 Days. Normally, I continue to practice every other day+ afterwards!
I follow Yoga with Adrienne on Youtube, they are generally <30 minutes and have different options of difficulty from Beginner-More Advanced!
(I’m going to do a whole blog post on the benefits of Yoga- get Excited!)
I can’t wait to push my mind and body further this year and I hope you’re feeling as optimistic about the future as I am. Every year I grow and I’m so proud of what I’ve learnt in 2016.
